Cooper Machine has been making Merchandising Systems for a long time. Whether you’re wanting to cut large or small logs into a certain length to feed your sawmill, pallet mill, pole mill, post mill, stave mill or cutting ties or cants going into a sorter system, our machines can do it.
Benefits of a Cooper Merchandising Systems:
- Customizable – Built to fit customer’s specific needs – decks and troughs to fit space, log diameter and lengths
- Just add a Merchandising system and not debark or Debarker system can be placed first or Merchandise first – you choose
- Oufeed to Merchandiser can either have fixed stops or can be movable with servo electric cylinder control
- Either powered or gravity fed hold-downs on each side of saw to hold logs and cut product in place depending on application
- MDI metal detector can be added to keep metal out of system with belt conveyor by Cooper
- Belts under saws to remove sawdust and any smaller pieces cut off
- Both rotary or push kickers available
- System can be all electric or hydraulic based on customer preference
- MCC with Kinetic drives available

Available Options
Flex/Log/Pole Merchandising & Sorting – works in conjunction with sorting system
The Cooper Flex Log/Pole Merchandising and Sorting System is a great option to maximize your operation. Cut logs into posts or poles and then either pre-sort logs for your mill or sort poles by length and/or diameter to increase your mill throughput. Or sort logs by length and diameter for export logs. This is a great solution when you have one Debarker feeding multiple mills.
Cab Standard sizes are 6 x 6, 6 x8, or 8×8 but custom sizes are available. These do come with heavy duty flooring, insulation, electrical/lights and an air conditioner/heater

Sorting Systems
Our Sorters have become more popular because they are there everyday. Your products get sorted and stacked without having to worry about your employees not showing up to work.
Cooper Machine continues to grow our options for sorters. We offer sorters for ties and cants, sorters for anything round such as logs, posts, and poles, and we are now offering a lumber sorter. We do not offer a sorting option for pallet material.

Sorting Systems
- CMST-SK – From 2 – 26 skate wheel pockets for Sorting Cants and Ties
- CMST-PK – From 2-26 steel bins for sorting round products like posts and logs
- CMST-OP From 2-10 open pockets for large round objects like poles or logs to be sorted
- CMST-SL From 2 – 10 steel bins for sorting slabs to be further processed elsewhere
